So how do you feel about reincarnation? Do we become someone else after death?
Whatever you believe, there's no denying it would be handy set-up if you needed to get revenge for your past life. Coming back to wreak havoc has an appealing ring to it.
This is the bonus situation that The Vow's Vidya and Sagar find themselves in for Season 2. It premieres on Zee World tonight (31 May) at 19h00 and it's a reincarnation of Season 1 - literally.
The first season ended with Vidya and Sagar both dying.
Blast to the past: Vidya was a beauty from a village who was influenced into marrying the mentally unstable, wealthy Sagar whom she grew to love. Sagar's evil money grabbing sister Sindoora had it in for them bigtime and by the end of the season she got her wish and killed them both.
Flash to Now: The new season sees Vidya and Sagar reincarnated, years later, as Amar and Divya.
Divya is a modern rich girl from London and Amar is a tour guide from Banaras. Their paths cross, they become friends and they fall in love again, not realising that they've done this before.
Then, Divya starts to remember... she has flashbacks to her life as Vidya and reminds Amar of their previous life together. At first he can't remember but then he starts to remember too and together they plot revenge against Sindoora.
The starring cast of Season 1 return to reincarnate their roles. Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya (Vidya) returns as Divya, Sharad Malhotra (Sagar) returns as Amar and Kamya Panjabi reprises her role as Sindoora.
