Come Dine With Me South Africa is back on the BBC menu on DStv and a new round of casting has begun.
As you may know, the show was at the centre of a
bad dinner date earlier this year when it was picked up by the SABC3 who put out a call for contestants.
It lasted two weeks on the channel before negotiations broke down between the SABC and production company Rapid Blue, who own the rights and withdrew the offer for the SABC to produce the show.
Flash forward five months and it's back on BBC Lifestyle, produced by Rapid Blue once again, with a more diverse reach than it was going to have on SABC3.
The SABC3 version was only going to feature hosts who live in Joziburg but the new version will be filmed in four cities again: Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg and Port Elizabeth.
Who is the show looking for?
South African residents who:
- are a whizz in the kitchen
- have loads of personality & confidence
- love entertaining
- have the ability to perform under pressure
- have what it takes to meet a challenge
