A Thai revival of the cult classic Japanese comedy game show. The evil Shogun Takeshi has kidnapped Princess Woonsen and imprisoned her in his castle. Contestants must storm Takeshi's castle and set her free.
The format, which features 100 members of the public attempting to tackle a series of crazy obstacles with the ultimate aim of reaching and storming the castle, follows the original TBS show Takeshi's Castle, which first aired in Japan in 1986.
The show was shot on location in Thailand with all new contestants and was acquired from distributor Bellon Entertainment by Comedy Central Africa.
The commentator for this African version is comedian Rob van Vuuren, better known as Twakkie from The Most Amazing Show. He also co-hosted the first two seasons of SA's Got Talent with Anele Mdoda and won Season 5 of Strictly Come Dancing.
