In the season premiere, the competition is fierce, the talent is exceptional and the surprises abound as coaches Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton all vie to discover and coach the next singing phenomenon from the country's best vocalists in the blind auditions.
The vocalists compete to be selected by one of the coaches and fight for a chance to win the title of "The Voice".
Contestants in the first blind auditions include a drag artist with a smoky rendition of Otis Redding's Try a Little Tenderness, a Youtube star whose channel went viral of videos featuring him and his four-year-old daughter, and a cancer survivor and widow who takes on Radioactive Soul.
