Confirmed! Nandi to exit Generations for Season 5

TVSA can confirm that Nandi Mabaso, played by Brenda Mhlongo, will exit Generations: The Legacy in November when Season 4 wraps.

The news was first broken by TVSA member deziclesthagawd and a trusted source close to the production has confirmed Brenda's exit to us.

Brenda joined the show in November 2016 and Nandi's managed to come out sane despite the hell Jack's put her through during this time.

We caught up with Brenda to ask why she's leaving and she told us it wasn't her decision to leave the show.

"What I was told is that the writers don't know where to go with the story," - she told us.

We asked about her immediate future plans and she plans to focus on her music.

How should Nandi leave? What do you want her goodbye story to be? It has to happen before Friday, 23 November because that's when Season 4 ends.

Season 5 starts on the Monday so the teasers after 26 November give clues as to who's definitely still on the show for the future.

No @show-time it's not all bad news. I was informed this week that they have added a new lead role. I didn't ask whether it was a man or a woman. I was also told that they are adding new youth characters. And apparently the character of Jonathan is back! Also, they might be revamping some of the set. That's all I got, we'll see if these things come to pass. I might start watching again IF they get their house in order lol.

The show's official twitter handle revealed it's a woman that is joining but they hid her face. Can you find out who is she?

Yes you are correct @Robyn. My source says her name will be Ayanda. She'll be played by well know actress Samela Tyelbooi. Ayanda is very manipulative and conniving. Apparently she'll be working at Ezweni and might end up taking over a part of it. I don't know how that'll work but sounds dramatic! Oh and apparently she'll be fulfilling the role that Thuso's character was supposed to. You know the bitchy, manipulative snake! I hear things are looking up for 2019. I guess time will tell.

@1999 Fana's death made me watch like 3 episodes this week. I must say now that it's settled I'm already bored again. Let's see, Wandile still pointless, obsessed, entitled and irritating. And Lesedi's basic storyline still being dragged for 3 months? I'm going back on my break. Meh.

@Dezicles same sis same! But instead of a whole entire three, I only watched the funeral episode and only the scenes concerning the Mabaso's and Moroka's and it was pretty sad. I'm sure ya'll all know how much I adored Fana, he was always my fave character along with Smanga and Sphe.. so this was a bummer!

Ja the funeral episode was emotional. Great acting from everyone. The good die young! Lol a little random that Lucy and Mrekza travelled to KZN for the funeral though hey?
