Aiden is overjoyed when Hope accepts his marriage proposal, and he slips the ring on her finger.
John moves in to Marlena's townhouse. Kate suggests to Nicole they pool their resources and buy Basic Black together. Rafe questions Chad about the flower petal that was found near Paige's body.

John explains to Brady and Marlena that he wants to use the ISA’s resources to find out the truth about his ancestry. Theresa stuns Nicole by offering to be her partner in buying Basic Black. Daniel approaches Eric, who has gotten drunk to forget his pain.

Chad is released from police custody, but Justin warns him not to get too comfortable on the outside. Chad accuses Stefano of framing him and as their argument escalates, Stefano collapses! JJ reveals to Jennifer that Clyde is Salem's drug lord. He’s freaked because he believes Clyde murdered Paige to send a message to JJ and that Jennifer might be next.

Stefano thanks Chad for saving his life and swears he is not framing Chad. Chad tells Rafe he was framed. Ben challenges Abigail about lying and going off to see Chad. After checking in with Justin, Eve is later so distraught, she wrecks her apartment, then collapses.

At the hospital, Aiden tries to get reassurances from Stefano about the money he is owed. Steve reconnects with Joey and subtly admits he went back to the ISA all those years ago for reasons other than simply adventure. Marlena urges Paul to bond with his dad.

Victor visits Stefano in the hospital. Aiden has a finger broken by a thug after he can’t come up with the money he owes to a loan shark.

Marlena puts Chad under hypnosis. Ben and Abigail continue making wedding plans. Gabi is sad to learn from Will that Sonny is now in Paris and that they are estranged. Will is optimistic that despite his mistakes with Sonny, the two of them can work it out.

Steve tracks down the Britta lookalike . At the same time, Bo almost escapes from his cell. Stefano summons Aiden and calls him on stealing a check. Eve meets with Eduardo regarding Paige’s funeral arrangements. Lani Price, a cop from Miami, arrives in town to join the Salem PD.

Rafe finds a locket Abigail dropped at the docks. Aiden admits to Hope he is drowning in debt and had to turn to some shady people for help. Jennifer admits to Roman she’s worried about her son blaming himself for Paige’s death. Steve finds Bo’s prison cell empty as Bo is brought into an abandoned hospital at another location.

With Theresa’s help, Eve picks out a dress for Paige to be buried in. Adrienne has blood drawn to test for the genetic marker that may affect how likely she is to get breast cancer, like her mother. Nicole, Kate, and Theresa now own Basic Black. Eric approaches Nicole about that job she offered him at Basic Black.

Julie finds an agitated Caroline, who has once again had a vision of Shawn. Earlier, Maggie and Hope talk wedding plans. Rafe continues to work the case, learning Marlena shares some of his doubts that Chad is the killer. Meanwhile, fugitive Chad goes back to the docks in disguise to try to find the bum he remembered fighting.

Chad attempts to put his alibi in motion via the bum he fought with the night Serena was killed, but the bum has certain demands of his own. Ben asks Will to be his best man, and Will happily accepts. It’s the night before Paige’s funeral, and Eve is struggling.

Eduardo goes to the police station to find out the latest on the hunt for Chad. Gabi notices Rafe is distracted and he admits he's attending Paige's funeral today. Chad returns to the mansion, wondering how the cops knew where he was staying. Brady sees Theresa is distraught about attending Paige's funeral.

Steve searches Bo’s cell again and is confronted by a gun-wielding guard. Rafe rips into Eduardo for essentially putting a bounty on Chad’s head by offering reward money. Back at home, Theresa panics when she hears Tate’s piercing screams over the baby monitor.

Chad, Andre, and Stefano come up with a plan to flush out Clyde. JJ meets with Roman secretly and finally tells him what he knows about Clyde – that he’s the drug kingpin. Theresa and Brady learn Tate has colic. As they work together to care for their son, they talk about their own childhoods and grow closer.

Kayla, Victor, Hope and Maggie anxiously wait by Caroline's side to see if the serum worked. Steve finds a camera in Bo's former prison cell which in turn leads to a room containing video footage of Bo's imprisonment. Bo, very much alive, continues to hold out against the torture.
