If you're an Uzalo fan you may have noticed that the numbering of episodes has been very confusing.
Season 5 officially started this past Monday (4 February) BUT TV schedules stated that it started on Friday (1 February) instead.
Same thing with the episodes on SABC1's YouTube channel… the
Season 5 premiere is titled Season 5, Episode 2 - but it isn't, it's Episode 1.
In a nutshell: the numbering of episodes is one episode ahead of the episodes that are actually airing on TV.
The teasers suffered this same confusion too. The episode descriptions have been in sync with TV but the episode numbers haven't been.
Until now.
We've sweated over the teasers to work out what's going on and we're pleased to report that we've found the culprit: a dirty episode number skip that happened in April 2018.
The numbering was in sync up until Season 4: Episode 48 on Wednesday, 11 April 2018.
The glitch happened on Thursday, 12 April when the episode was misnumbered Episode 50 instead of Episode 49.
This was never corrected and so every episode since then has been an episode number ahead of what it should be.
Which explains why Season 5 was listed as starting on Friday, 1 February when it started on Monday the 4th.
We've adjusted the teasers so that the right episode numbers are on the right night now.
Hopefully SABC1's scheduling department and YouTube channel will do the same!
