If you're a DC fan on DStv's Compact bouquet you'll be pleased to know that the latest seasons are now premiering on M-Net City instead of the Premium channels.
Many of them had their first runs on M-Net, Vuzu Amp or 1Magic previously, with repeats on M-Net City months and months later, but now they're debuting on M-Net City instead.
As you may have seen in TVSA's daily round-up of
New Shows and Seasons, it's all been happening at 18h20 on the channel this week.
This is what's been premiering in the timeslot:
Monday (29 April) |
The Flash 5 |
Tuesday (30 April) |
Arrow 7 |
Wednesday (1 May) |
Supergirl 4 |
Thursday (2 May) |
DC's Legends of Tomorrow |
Today (Friday 3 May) |
Black Lightning 2 |
Other super-charged series to lookout for this month - not DC ones but in the sci-fi/supernatural genres - are the comedy space adventure The Orville and the new Charmed reboot.
Season 2 of The Orville premieres this Saturday, 4 May at 19h05 and Charmed starts next Saturday, 11 May at 18h15.
Comedian Seth MacFarlane returns as Captain Ed Mercer on The Orville and the Charmed reboot reprises the story of the original series: three sisters who discover they're The Charmed Ones - powerful witches who use their magic for good.
In the original series, the three sisters' names started with "P" and now they start with "M".
Eldest sister Macy is played by Madeleine Mantock (Into the Badlands, The Tomorrow People), film actress Melanie Diaz plays Mel and Sarah Jeffery (Descendants, Rogue, Shades of Blue) plays Maggie.
We'll remind you of their premieres on the day.
