The South African version of Steve Harvey's game show Family Feud goes into production soon and the search is on for families who want to be in the action.

The series is being produced for e.tv by Rapid Blue (Strictly Come Dancing, Come Dine With Me SA) and the set-up will be exactly the same as the American version, with Steve Harvey as host.

The format: Each episode features two families who compete for cash and prizes.

The game: Families must name the most popular responses to survey-type questions posed to 100 people. See the video at the end to give you an idea.

Who is the show looking for?

Any and all South African families.

Entrants need to be 18 years or older on 11 November 2019 and must be South African residents or have South African work/resident status.

All immediate family members are considered family including aunts, uncles, cousins etc.

How to enter

You can enter on the show's official application form here: Family Feud Africa Application Form

Application Must-Knows

You need to submit a short video of your family, introducing each member, explaining why you think your family should be chosen to be on the show.

All of the entries will be reviewed by the production and shortlisted families will be invited to auditions in Durban, Cape Town or Joziburg between 28 October and 10 November 2019.

Filming takes place between 11 and 25 November 2019, so you need to be available on these dates.

Closing date for entries: 23h59 on 20 October 2019.

Go for it RainPrincess - convince them!... maybe they'll surprise you.

It would be cool if you could also enter with your "family", even if you aren't related, like close friendship groups, people you regard as family.

That would defeat the point I suppose.

I'm gonna rally my cousins Tashi, I just hope they don't have anything restricting them from entering.

I agree 100% Tashi. I am confident my family will be awesome, problem is we are scattered all over South Africa and this poses a nightmare to get everyone together. Only me and my daughter in Gauteng. :(. Hopefully later.
