Artist of the Year
The awards have introduced a new category this year: Artist of the Year, a category that will only be voted for by the public.
People can elect their fave artist for the win by SMSing their name to the awards.
The criteria for nomination: they must have released a new body of work between 1 January 2020 and 31 December 2020.
To nominate your favourite Artist of the Year you can send an SMS to 45475 with the name of your preferred artist. SMS's are charged at R1,50 and each sim card is limited to 50 votes.
Voting lines opened on 1 June 2021.
