here, and now we're dropping the scenario and teasers for Zee World's second premiere in June: The Good Son.
It replaces Ring of Fire's 18h00 episode, from Mondays to Fridays, starting on Thursday 3 June and tells the story of Vedant, who struggles for acceptance after being adopted by the Tripathi family.
He was adopted by a doctor and becomes a doctor too - a gynaecologist - but his adoptive family have never accepted him.
Despite this, he takes on the responsibility of caring for them to be The Good Son.
Enter his lurve interest Purva, who has loads of problems.
They marry and she finds herself thrown into Vedant's 10-member family, struggling to cope herself.
Especially when there are those who want to electrocute her. Literally!
Also... she's pregnant with someone else's child. Oops.
And Vedant gets a facelift.
Jokes. But almost.
Two different actors play the role over the course of the series: Rrahul Sudhir and Dishank Arora.
Rrahul quit the show for reasons that mirror Vedant's story - concern for his family.
According to
Times of India, Rrahul's mother became ill while he was filming the series and he was far away from her. They filmed in Jaipur and she was living in Mumbai.
This quote by him from The Times of India:
"Unfortunately, my mother’s health has been a cause of concern for me. It wasn’t feasible to visit Mumbai frequently, as I am the male lead and I am required in almost every frame.
I began worrying so much about my mom’s health that it started affecting my work. I wasn’t comfortable with that, as I didn’t want to compromise on my work.
So, I pondered over it and finally took the call. I will start with her treatment as soon as I am back in Mumbai.”
It's not only Vedant who changes faces but another character too, for different reasons. We won't tell you who right now to avoid spoilers.
Let's just say this show likes to switch lead characters.

Urmila Tripathi, the matriarch of the Tripathi family (who've adopted Vedant), goes to meet her childhood friend Shanti after a long time.
She meets Shanti’s two granddaughters, the ambitious yet idealistic Pankhuri and the independent and ever practical Purva.

Episode 2
Vedant convinces Bablu to let him go out for a few hours. Here, Purva feels restless as she has always been independent and now has to depend on Vedant for small things. Rahul visits her and calms her down.

Thinking that no-one will marry Purva, Shanti takes her to the storeroom and tries to immolate them both.

Next day, Purva and Vedant try to search for Rahul, unaware that someone is keeping an eye on them. At night a man named Sumit approaches Purva, claiming he is Rahul’s friend.

Vedant gets hold of the man who has been keeping an eye on them. The informant reveals that he was paid to find out information about Purva and Rahul, and that Purva is being taken out of the country the next morning.

The next morning, Ramesh has a massive issue as Purva is not doing any of the duties expected of a new daughter-in-law.

Next day, Sumati, Radhika and Narendra scare Gomti to the point that she daydreams that Vedant is having her arrested.
At the table, Vedant informs everyone about the forensic test on the jars. He reveals the test will prove who did the switch and tried to frame Purva.
