Moving from SABC3 to SABC2, the second season of The Taste Master returns is all about baking.
The new season promises to showcase more good food and high drama as the contestants are set to put their baking skills to the ultimate test.
This season, Zola Nene returns to the judging panel and will be joined by artisanal baker Fritz Schoon, who makes his judging debut this season.
Fritz's obsession with bread and pastries has led him to own a number of SCHOON Cafés around the Western Cape and his bread has also become a staple at a number of popular restaurant chains across the country.
The winner of The Taste Master: The Baking Edition will receive a pool of prizes including a Samsung gas cooker, microwave and vacuum cleaner for their star kitchen, a Thermomix TM6 to the approximate value of R26,000, premium Le Creuset prizes to the approximate value of R15,000 and a cash prize.

In this final season of the series, Jake and the squad must try to balance their personal lives and their professional lives over the course of a very difficult year.
Rounding out the ensemble is Sgt. Amy Santiago, who has a passion for organisation and a weakness for dork dancing; Lt. Terry Jeffords, a mountain of a man whose most powerful muscle is his sweetheart; Jake's best friend and human puppy dog, Det. Charles Boyle; and the incredibly secretive, tough-as-nails Rosa Diaz.
Also part of the Nine-Nine are veteran officers Det. Scully and Det. Hitchcock, whose only skill as police officers is their ability to make a passable pot of coffee.
