A collection of five standup comedy shows from the 2022 Johannesburg International Comedy Festival, which was held in March.
Each night features a different line-up of comedians performing under signature comedic umbrellas.
Stand Up Africa kicks off proceedings tonight with a show titled
Comedians Without Borders, which features comedians from across the continent.
It's hosted by Tips Shampoonaiza from South Africa and he's joined by AK Dans from South Sudan, Ebenhaezer Dibakwane from South Africa, Q Dube from Zimbabwe and Salvado from Uganda.
League of Nations presents
Strus Bob! on 28 May - a unique show where some of the country’s most celebrated comedians tell the funniest, craziest and hilarious stories inspired by their own lived experiences proving that sometimes, truth is indeed stranger than fiction and often even funnier!
Kagiso Lediga hosts the evening and comedians are Noko Moswete, Rob van Vuuren, KG Mokgadi, and Carvin Goldstone.

The Late-Night Show with Mojak Lehoko on 4 June.
Mojak Lehoko anchors his very own late-night show with his trademark wit and whimsically funny comedic style.
Sharing bits about the crazy things going on in his head and the world at large, he is joined by Sne Dladla who dazzles as the musical maestro and Lindy Johnson and Kate Pinchuck who thrill audiences with their hilarious comedy inserts.
Tats Nkonzo headlines the show as the special guest.
Vernac Attack presents
Young Guns of Vernac Comedy on 11 June.
Local language comedy continues to be one of the fastest growing genres of standup comedy in South Africa and this year’s line-up contains some of the most exciting and popular acts on the scene.
The show brings together heavyweight comedians Elton Mduduzi as the host, multiple award-winning Pele Pele as the headliner supported by rising star Thabang ER.
The line-up also introduces two of the most exciting names to recently emerge out of the vernac comedy circuit in Mbali and Oscar.
The show is a great celebration of homegrown talent, indigenous languages, and culture.
Lockdown and Loaded presents
Magwarana Showdown on 18 June.
Industry stalwart and one of the leading lights in the vernac comedy circuit today, Summary the Comedian hosts an exciting line-up of comedians who all proudly perform comedy in their mother tongue.
Paying tribute to the culture of “magwarana” in the way that they performed their sets, this show is a comedy feast featuring King Sbuda, Nkukza, Tieho Khakkhau, Keketso Hutamo.
The show is headlined by Smowkey Nyembe.
