Comedy Central Live at the Savanna Virtual Comedy Bar is back and is set to feature a star-studded line up of legendary South African comedians as well as some of the most talented rising comics.
This show documents the escapades of some of the biggest names in comedy as they hit the road and experience all of SA's nine provinces.
The show features Lindy Johnson, Thabiso Mhlongo, Cobus van Rensburg, Noko Moswete, Jason Goliath, David Kau, Mojak Lehoko, Rob van Vuuren, Lihle Msimang, Siya Seya, Robby Collins and many more.
The stand-up series follows the antics of its comedic presenters on their recently completed road trip across the country.
Thabiso Mhlongo, who took home the 2016 Comedy Central "Grab The Mic" crown; Noko Moswete, the laughing princess of Limpopo; rising comic Cobus van Rensburg; and Lindy Johnson, who worked on the Comedy Central Roast of Khanyi Mbau; travel from city to city and give us a fun take on where they find themselves between stand-up shows and tourism mayhem.
This 'anti-travel' take on seeing the weird and wonderful sides of South Africa will be packed with laughs that show a completely different view of the places you'd least expect.
Each episode takes place in a different city and features stand-up sets from some of the country's biggest stand-up comedians, along with a set from the series regulars.
South Africans across the country are also featured in the series through on-the-ground interviews done by different open mic talent each week.
These include comedy vandals Shanray van Wyk, Monde Blose, Q Dube, Phil de Lange, Sophie Joans, Wazi Kunene, Charles Mthethwa, Eugene Matthews and Arlene Peterson.
This ensures inclusive comedic storytelling that authentically speaks to the South African audience.
In the Season 3 premiere: Tonight's episode was recorded in the vacation city of Durban, with headliner Nonto R and Open Mic featuring Shanray van Wyk.
