Turkish telenovela Moederhart tells the story of three sisters and their brother - Zeynep, Emre, Cemre and Aysun - who are left in poverty with their mother, Nefise, after the sudden death of their father.
Nefise feels trapped, but with the help of a distant relative, she starts to work for a wealthy family.
Their mansion is owned by a powerful man, Muzaffer, and his brother, Onur, who run a successful company together.
In order to help her family, Zeynep starts working for Ahmet, a man who is desperately in love with her.
But when Zeynep meets Onur, a complicated love triangle is created. Muzaffer's feelings for Nefise are also growing, but Emre doesn't approve of their relationship.
Is love going to be the winner for this mother and her daughter?
Moederhart's original Turkish title is Kanatsiz Kuslar and it was filmed in Istanbul.
The main characters are:
Zeynep (voiced by Danielle Retief)
The eldest of Nefise's children. She will give up her own dreams in order to give her younger siblings a better life.
Onur (Tiaan Kelderman)
A young businessman with a bright future. Even though his background is different from Zeynep's, he will do anything to win her love.
Ahmet (Donovan Petersen)
Ahmet has a big heart and although Zeynep doesn't feel the same about him, he will stand up to Unur to convince her to love him back.
Nefise (Natasja Jacobs)
A woman who will do anything and everything for her children. To be a good mother, is the most important thing in her life.
Muzaffer (Anton Schmidt)
A successful businessman and head of the affluent family. His life is turned upside down when Nefise walks into his life.
Azime (Marijke Coetzer)
Azime has been working at the mansion for many years and pretends to be Nefise's friend, but is manipulating and a back stabber.
