The series tells a tale about liberation hero turned heist king, Alex Shabane (Kwenzo Ngcobo), and a broken Apartheid cop seeking redemption, Detective Sakkie Oosthuizen (Albert Pretorius), who find their lives interlocked in a crime drama that explores the complexities of morality and the blurred lines between good and bad.
The show delves into the story of these two complex men, both determined to prove themselves.
Inspired by actual events and a notorious heist legend, the series follows Alex's return to South Africa, where he resorts to crime when the promised 'spoils of war' fail to materialise.
The cast includes Gaosi Raditholo, portraying Lesedi — a single mom and the spark that ignited the flame in Alex Shabane.
Didintle Khunou takes on the role of Thato Sekoati, a 'Born Free' police officer haunted by the loss of her father.
Also in the cast are Kenneth Nkosi as Minister Zungu and Sisanda Henna as Zungu's right-hand man, Maseko.
Additionally, Bahumi Mhlongo plays the character of a young, fearless journalist, Kefilwe.
Other cast members include Anelisa Phewa who plays a wild man, a loose cannon, and a tough guy named Vincent, living in a world of simple brutality - kill or be killed.
Dippy Padi takes on the role of the infamous gangster's hot girlfriend, but Pearl knows his heart belongs to someone else.
Panch Gasela portrays the youngest member of Shabane's gang, Toolz, who desires to live fast.
Mavuso Msimang takes on the character of Moskow, a true believer, thinker and idealist, staying true to the cause as a struggle hero.

This season also sees Mseleku's wives wrangle their children, trying to lead them on the right path, based on their own individualistic personal beliefs.
MaCele is at odds with her husband over how he chooses to raise and lead his sons and is trying to free them from his "clutches".
MaYeni is left shook by Mpumelelo's decisions and way of life and MaKhumalo is trying her best to help Mpilo become an independent young woman.
MaNgwabe is pleasantly surprised by her daughter's initiative to join and start a journey of purity, and MaKhumalo lends a helping hand.
Mseleku helps Mpumelelo and Lwandle on their spiritual calling and wants Sne to do better.
Sne, known for being troublesome, is tired of being the perceived black sheep of the family and is trying to head in a positive direction.
