A celebrity panel of detectives must guess who is behind the mask.
The studio audience is a rich component of the show, voting together with the celebrity detectives for their favourite performance.
At the end of the show, the least popular performers are eliminated, but not before the mask is removed to reveal their identity.
Who is really behind the mask? Is it possible to reframe how others see us or maybe play a little with solid identities?
Some rugby players may turn out to be the best singers – who knows?

As with previous seasons there are five double episodes, with each investigation stretching over two episodes.
In each double episode Byl and his team are on the trail of a serial killer.
However, there is an overarching storyline through the entire season: a psychopath with a wide circle of influential people caught in a stranglehold.
Returning cast for the fourth season include Waldemar Schultz as Byl, Marvin-Lee Beukes as Juan, Milan Murray as Nicki, Trudy van Rooy as Shani and Lika Berning as Lena.
This season they have to pick up the broken pieces after the death of their colleague Fritz Barnard (played by Eric Nobbs) last season.
Sean Cameron Michael returns in the role of Vermeer, the villain of this season. His character was introduced in the Season 3 finale.
Frank Rautenbach also returns as Trotskie, who was also introduced in the final episode last season.
Actors joining the cast this season include Amalia Uys, Elizabeth Archer, Gerben Kamper, Andahr Cotton and Chris van Niekerk.
Leon Kruger was once again a producer and head writer of this season. This was the last season Leon worked on, as he passed away in July 2021.

Lorna continues her journey to find out more about the hero ingredients.
She first learns all about the strongly flavoured Buchu before heading to the West coast to track down a local delicacy, Abalone.
At the end of the episode, Lorna prepares a delicious dish inspired by the homegrown cuisine - savoury Buchu pancakes with an Asian dipping sauce, pan seared abalone with a Cape Malay-inspired sauce, finished off with a Buchu and mint granita.
