EPISODE SIXI truly don’t know whether it’s best to forget that it actually happened or to remember and scream like an insane loon knowing there’s no coming back from the edge if I do!
If there’s no justice for Judd in the form of his limbs being bloodily ripped off his body, stub by painful stub by one of those crocs, I don’t know how I’ll cope.
He was soo unbelievably nasty that even calling him a Pig seems too good for him! I know Margaret was a total loser sour-faced pain in the butt but the way he behaved towards her at Tribal Council was so inexcusable and unforgivable he should have been destroyed without a second thought.
That backhand movement he kept doing with his arm was too horrible – I’m convinced that if there weren’t cameras he would have not only strangled her the way Jeff said he wanted but knocked her black and blue too.
I’ve never been so upset by anyone’s behaviour at a Tribal Council and ended up feeling exactly the way I’m sure Rafe felt - plonked right in the middle of it all - except thankfully I didn't need to suffer the added rotgut of being partly responsible for allowing it to happen.
The Nakum blood-suck started right from the first moment of Day 19 as everyone tried to swat an attack of mosquito’s. Rafe explained that Margaret was fading out into a world of her own, she said she was at the bottom of the food chain and Judd fatly strutted around doing nothing .
Over at Yaxha sweet Brandon was confused about why everyone had chosen to get rid of Blake – which worried me a bit – but not too much to change my ever-increasing slurping of him.
Bobby-Jon stuttered a non-sensical explanation that seemed to keep Brandon happy and then everyone was called to their Reward Challenge where tribes had to annihilate one another by pushing a huge ball in return for a winning feast.
Before they got started Jeff explained that both tribes would go to the tribal council in the evening, that the winning tribe would win the privilege of challenging each other for individual immunity and that the Immune would be allowed to sit in on the losing tribes Tribal Council.
Then it started – the most pathetic and incredible display of desperate, power-mad psychosis ever. How gobsmackingly mind-bending were those roars between them? Luckily I like Bobby-Jon so much I managed to have an excellent chortle at him giving Jamie his own medicine - but only after I’d gone past a certain crazed point brought on by how cringe-worthy it all was.
It's too scary to believe that Jamie’s actually for real. Who in their right minds takes a stupid ball tussle soo seriously that they’d lose all their humanity the way he did? Thankfully it was perfectly lightened by Bobby-Jon and Brandon ridiculously smashing themselves into the ball and Amy rolling around in pain.
It was inevitable that the scrawnies on Yaxha would be beaten by the Nukem thugs and once it happened Yaxha were sent back to their camp while Nukem stayed behind to decide on individual immunity which involved each of them putting together a puzzle.
The moment Judd helped Rafe win by telling him what his puzzle was I just knew it wasn’t the last he’d hear about it. There’s no ways Judd would do anyone a favour without expecting some kind of humungous comeback and if I were Rafe I’d have given him the Immunity ‘cos I couldn’t stand having him thinking I owed him something.
Rafe didn’t cave into the pressure to be overly grateful though so he handled it kinda okay I suppose and by keeping it he managed to avoid giving Judd the undeserving privilege of listening to Yaxha at Tribal Council.
While Nakum celebrated their win by allowing Judd to scoff back other people’s beers in-between saying he’s top dog, Yaxha plotted who to vote out. Brian tried to ring-lead Amy and Gary in an anti Bobby-Jon campaign while Amy nursed her foot and Gary looked tall, saying that voting a strongster like Bobby-Jon out wasn’t the wisest idea.
Which is when all hell broke loose as Nakum went to Tribal Council first resulting in Jeff saying he’d never seen anything like it before in his life ever.
Every single moment was the worstest from Judd telling Margaret to shut up to the way Jamie supported him by slapping him on the shoulder when he needed a straight jacket to everyone accepting being intimidated by him to Stephenie’s nasty smiles in support of him.
What’s up with her taking the side of such a bully? If she’s such a tough and independent chick as she wants everyone to believe she would have taken Margaret’s side out of principal. Instead she’s as thick as thieves with Judd and Jamie out of a misplaced sense of what makes her look coolest, pulling faces at Margaret at Tribal Council and generally over-acting with everything she does.
Thankfully there was some light relief after it all when Rafe joined Yaxha at the Tribal Council and put on his glasses so he could think properly. I was quizzy about him choosing to give Hoog the immunity and wish we’d heard something from him as to why. I imagine he might be keen on his muscly, strangely elongated body?
Speaking of perving – Brian – can you please explain why everyone was going on about him being such a kamakazi gentleman and classy guy and never once mentioning how gay he is? They couldn’t possibly not know surely? No-one’s mentioned it once since the start and yet he’s even more camp than Rafe so you’d have thunk it would be an important part of things as such things are.
I loved the thought Jeff left them all with at the end - when he said they’d sent Brian the message that he was doing so brilliantly and that they loved him and then cut his throat.
They were obviously singing his praises ‘cos they liked him and didn’t want to him to feel like a loser but if they really wanted to protect him they’d have told him they were getting rid of him before they voted.
It was very interesting in how it showed that so often being dishonest to protect someone in a moment can be way more brutal than just being totally upfront with them right from the start.
As for what’s gonna happen next, I so want to say please, please, pleeeease let there be revenge on Judd but the trouble is he’s intimidated them all into being wrapped around his bully so big time his being annihilated just doesn’t seem possible.
All my hope lies in Yaxha bringing out the big guns in ways so gruesome not even Nukem can imagine them.
