EPISODE 12I
so know that if we were together we’d be doing exactly what the Italians are doing right this moment – screaming in delight at the top of our lungs while clutching each other madly, very probably with tears streaming down united cheeklets.
He’s gooooooone! The relief of it is even better than I imagined it could be – even though he'd have had noo chance of winning if he’d actually got to the jury.
The thing of him that's so astounding is how truly, hectically nasty he is. Even though I loathe Lydia beyond distraction, the things he said when he was voting her out were deeply horrible. This and his spitting out the same meanness when he called them all scumbags as he left showed the extent to which he took it all waay too seriously.
Everyone keeping a straight face was remarkable, particularly Danni who is directly responsible for saving us because of how she managed to somehow turn the money she had into a mega shopping spree during the Reward Challenge.
She just kept buying and buying stuff and it never seemed to run out. I was gob smacked as I lay half comatose on the couch trying to catch up on what I’d missed up until this point.
Can you believe I missed the first part of the episode up until this point after finding myself snuggled under a blanket at about 6:00pm and dozing off? It was brilliant but then very problematic when suddenly I woke up to Danni’s wildly-spending mug guzzling down food, winning special tricks for the Immunity Challenge and not minding she wasn't keeping her loved one.
I wouldn’t either – I don’t see the point in getting so carried away about them being with you when you couldn’t actually be You properly anyway. I'd actually find it way more exhausting than exhilarating taking them back to camp, worrying about them while watching out for the next backstab, while trying to pull them aside for a sneaky catch-up, knowing everyone else knows what we’re up to.
It just seems like way to much effort for what’s it worth. Seeing them from afar, having a hug and topping up on remembering them would be great but anything more and I’d be like Danni’s happy smiles at seeing other people winning them instead.
How surprisingly glam is Judd’s wife? I’d never have imagined she’d be the way she was, although there was something slappable about the way she went on and on about never having camped. Stephenie’s beau seemed okay, if somewhat of a girlie – 'spesh letting her do all the hard work for the million he’s obviously after to spend too.
The way Cindy’s twin sister is a slightly more feminine and rounded version is hysterical – I can never get over the concept of what it must be like to be one of a twin. If you’re close as the two of them seem to be it must be super to always have someone you knows who's definitely on your side to the extent they could actually be you in an emergency.
After all the visiting that went on getting back to the intensity of doing that impossible red-tiled Immunity puzzle must have been tricky. As each of them started with their first move I got freaked - where do you possibly start with something like that?
Is it possible to make a first move that’ll definitely give you the long-term edge? How the stuff did Danni know Steph was in a better position than her from so long before?
The battle between the two of them at the end was excellent, particularly coming after Judd thinking he could go horizontally and going crazy-eyed when Jeff said he couldn’t. The way they turned the tiles over was fab too – it looked so satisfying to lift them and turn them over, hearing their clunk.
My happy chortling started from the moment they all got back to camp knowing they had to change their strategy regards Danni. It was the best thing that could have happened to them ever knowing she would have been the next guarenteed whack.
The cool thing was that I didn’t mind which of the two alternatives they decided to go with. As thrilled as I was with the way they blindsided Judd I would have been happy enough if they’d chosen to get rid of Lydia too.
The way she tried to discuss strategy with Judd was soo pathetic I was cringing, in between wanting to smash Judd for his attitude towards her. Together the pair of them just inspire such traumatic feelings that either going would have suited me too.
Judd’s going was of course utimately the better of the two exciting options though - just so long as the fact that Lydia voted with everyone else doesn’t mean she’s gonna be there until the end.
As for what’s what with Cindy not voting with everyone – I don’t have an opinion on this one way or the other ‘cos I have not a smidgen of feeling towards her whatsoever.
For now, I won’t worry about the Lydia problem and will rather spend the week savouring the wonderful victory over Judd and the fact that the ultimate Pig of the season has been conquered.
