The Grand Finale: "Thunder Storms And Sacrifice"
Lydia's Disney-character-like personality, the Final Four's weakness in the face of temptation, and Mother Nature—or is it the Mayan Gods?—come together to produce several seriously funny moments in the first hour of the finale. Then things get serious. The first Immunity Challenge is one of the most elaborately and beautifully designed sets the produced have ever created. The final IC is interesting in that it starts out as one kind of challenge, and then turns into another kind—which perhaps wasn't the intention of the designers. One player makes a couple of huge strategic blunders, the jury has its say, and a winner is crowned.
Oh yeah: And Jeff verbally slams Lydia. A lot. It's pretty funny if you're not a Lydia fan.
Here we go, finally!
I. Basic Questions:
Of course, most of the usual questions get thrown out this week, because as we all know, the finale will have 2 Immunity Challenges, no Reward Challenges, 3 Tribal Councils and 3 Votes. So, here's the basic questions you will answer for the Finale:
1. Immunity1: Who will win the first Immunity Challenge?
2. Eliminated1: Who is eliminated first (thus ending in 4th Place)?
3. Other Votes: Who else receives vote(s) in the first TC? (As usual, this answer must be one name only and different than your answer for #2.)
4. Immunity2: Who will win the final Immunity Challenge?
5. Eliminated2: Who is eliminated second (thus ending in 3rd Place)?
These first 5 questions will be scored in the usual ways (i.e. 20 points apiece unless something unusual occurs).
6. Second Place: Who will lose the Jury Vote and end in 2nd place? (20 points)
7. WINNER: Who will win Survivor: Guatemala? Your final pick in the Winner Poll we've been playing all season.
Scoring the Winner Category:
--Players will get no points for picking the 4th Place Survivor.
--Players will get 10 points (the usual) for every week they picked the 3rd Place Survivor.
--Players will get 15 points for every week they picked the 2nd Place Survivor.
--Finally, players will get 30 points for every week they picked the Ultimate Survivor!
So in other words, if a player has picked the winner every single week of the 14 weeks we've played this game, that player will win 420 points (30 * 14).
II. Bonus Questions:
B1: What is the final jury vote count: 7-0, 6-1, 5-2, or 4-3? 4 points.
B2: Who votes for whom in the final vote?
--Your answer to this question can take any form, as long as I can tell who your picks for the Final Two (F2) are for this question, and which jury members voted for which player. For example, the answer: "Bobby Jon votes for Steph, and everyone else votes for Rafe" would be acceptable, but "Everyone votes for Lydia" is incomplete, because I don't know who your other F2 pick is.
--Your answer to this question needs to be internally consistent and an actual possible scenario (so, for example, you can't put Danni in the jury and in the Final Two at the same time), but it need not be consistent with your answers to any of the previous questions (so you can, for example, predict a 7-0 vote in this question and a 4-3 split for B1.)
--Your answer will be scored by how many Jury Member/F2 Member pairs you correctly predict, as follows:
***1 pair correct: 1 pt.
***2 pairs correct: 2 pts.
***3 pairs correct: 4 pts.
***4 pairs correct: 8 pts.
***5 pairs correct: 23 pts.
***6 pairs correct: 96 pts.
***7 pairs correct: 768 pts!!!
