Bio
John Anderson is an American sports journalist and television presenter best known as a host of the ESPN show SportsCenter (since 1999) and as co-host of the game show Wipeout, since 2008.
Anderson joined the ESPN team in June 1999, moving from ESPNews anchor to his current position. Prior to ESPN, he was a sports reporter and weekend sports anchor in Phoenix, Arizona and two stations in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin, Anderson has won number of awards for his reporting including Outstanding Sports Feature Reporting Award and the Associated Press Television Award for Outstanding Performance in Broadcast Journalism.
Additionally, he co-wrote a book with golfer Chi Chi Rodriquez, Chi Chi's Golf Games You Gotta Play, which teaches players how to play better golf and have fun while playing.
He has co-hosted the ABC game show Wipeout since it began in 2008.
