Puleng Molebatsi is a South African actress and television presenter best known for her recurring role as Puleng, a casting agent who's a total drama queen and loves fashion, on the SABC2 sitcom Skwizas, joining the show in its second season as a guest star and writer.
She was also a guest presenter on Mzansi Insider with Phila and had a stint as an SABC news producer. She won a Woman of Worth Award at the SABC Awards in 2013.
Puleng was born in Thaba Nchu, 65km east of Bloemfontein. In 2001, while on school holidays, she took part in the reality television show S'camto Ground Breakers, which was about challenges facing young South Africans.
In 2006, at the age of 20, Molebatsi passed her matric examinations and went on to study theatre and television at the University of the Witwatersrand. She obtained an honours degree in 2010.
Whilst at varsity she performed in a number of productions and also had a role in the SABC1 miniseries When We Were Black, appearing in it soon after finishing her matric studies.
In 2010 Puleng appeared in another reality television series - It's for Life - which documented the life journeys of the three participants including herself.
In 2011 she was also a guest presenter on the SABC1 talk show Mzansi Insider, before joining the cast and the writing team for the SABC2 sitcom Skwizas. She reprised her role on the show in its third season, in 2014.
In 2013 she began presenting her own morning show on the 24-hour SABC news channel on DStv, called Bophelong, showcasing stories of individual success.
