Bio
Rachel Bilson is an American actress best known for her starring role as Summer Roberts on the comedy-drama television series The O.C., from 2003-2007.
She also stars as Zoe Hart in the comedy-drama series Hart of Dixie, a fish-out-of-water story about a New York City doctor adjusting to life in a small Southern town after she inherits a local medical practice.
In addition to her television series, she also appeared in the independent film L!fe Happens, with Kate Bosworth, as well as the independent comedy The To Do List, opposite Bill Hader and Scott Porter.
Other past film credits include starring as the female lead in Waiting for Forever as well as in Jumper for 20th Century Fox Studios; The Last Kiss, with Zach Braff and directed by Tony Goldwyn for Paramount; and opposite Andy Garcia in a film comprised of a series of shorts called New York, I Love You.
Bilson has additionally appeared twice as a guest star on the television series How I Met Your Mother as well as Josh Schwartz's Chuck.
In 2008, Bilson released her own clothing line called Edie Rose for DKNY Jeans. She also designed a line of houseware products for Macy's called Edie Rose Home.
She also had guest-starring roles in television series such as That '70s Show, MADtv, 8 Simple Rules and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Bilson currently lives in Los Angeles, where she was also raised.
