Patricia Heaton is an American actress best known for her starring role as Ray Barone's wife Debra on the television sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond, from 1996-2005.
She also stars as Frankie Heck in the sitcom The Middle.
She also starred in the sitcom Back to You (2007-2008) and had a five-episode recurring role as Dr. Silverman in thirtysomething, from 1989-1991.
Other shows she has appeared in include Matlock, Someone Like Me, Party of Five, The King of Queens and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Heaton has also appeared in feature films such as Memoirs of an Invisible Man (1992), Beethoven (1992), Space Jam (1996); and in made-for-TV movies like Shattered Dreams (1990), Miracle in the Woods (1997), A Town Without Christmas (2001), The Goodbye Girl (2004), The Engagement Ring (2005), and The Path to 9/11 (2006).
She won the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress - Comedy Series in 2000 and 2001, for her role in Everybody Loves Raymond.
She was also nominated for the same category in 1999, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005.
Heaton has been married to actor David Hunt since 10 October 1990. The couple have four children together.
In a 2006 TV Guide/Bravo poll, Heaton was named the TV personality who would make the best real-life housewife with 72% of the vote, far surpassing runner-up Teri Hatcher from Desperate Housewives.
Heaton is supportive of pro-life groups and causes, opposing abortion and euthanasia.
