Corey Burton began his voice career nearly 30 years ago - at age 17, doing a sound-alike for Disney as Hans Conreid.
He studied radio acting with the legendary Daws Butler (Time for Beany, Merrie Melodies, Yogi Bear) for several years, and went on to work with nearly all of the original Hollywood radio actors in classic style radio dramas.
The San Fernando Valley native has voiced sound-alikes and original characters for over 50 Disney Storyteller records. He can also be heard at various Disney and Universal Theme Parks, world-wide.
Additionally, Burton has lent his voice as an announcer for network TV promos on NBC, ABC, CBS and FOX, and has narrated documentaries shown on PBS, A&E, The Discovery Channel, The History Channel, and TLC.
Burton's TV animation credits include voices on Disney's House of Mouse, Hercules, Chip 'N Dale Rescue Rangers, Goof Troop, Lloyd in Space, Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears, Timon & Pumbaa, and Warner Bros.' Superman, Batman Beyond, Pinky and the Brain, Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries, Justice League, as well as Mike, Lu and Og, and The Transformers.
His feature film work includes character voices, narration and looping for E.T., Critters, Poltergeist, Tron, Total Recall, Endless Love, Amazon Women on the Moon, Action Jackson, Spaceballs, Dudley Do-Right; as well as Aladdin, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Mulan, and Toy Story 2 and featured as the voice of 'Moliere' in Atlantis, the Lost Empire and as Hans Conreid's 'Cap'n Hook' in Return to Neverland for Disney, and worked with company vice chairman Roy E. Disney in recreating the voice of Deems Taylor for the DVD release of Fantasia.
Honouring Pixar's John Lassiter, he was heard on the Academy Awards as the voice of the Oscar statuette.
On the Internet, he is Joe Kelly on Nancy Cartwright's The Kellys for NASCAR.com, and was the narrator of Elmo Aardvark: Outer Space Detective.
For several years, he has been the old-fashioned announcer for Old Navy and Real California Cheese.
Burton is occasionally used as a consultant on dialects and studio microphones.
