Matt Hoover was a contestant on the second season of the weight-loss reality competition television series The Biggest Loser, in 2005.Hoover was 28 years old at the time of shooting the show, and lives in Marion, Iowa. A legend back in his hometown, Matt was a NCAA wrestling champion from Iowa State University until an injury put him on the sidelines.As a result he gained so much weight that he pushed himself outside the realm of competitive sports.He says that he’s never seen himself as a ‘fat guy’ until recently and hopes that his fighting spirit will be an inspiration to his team-mates and to the viewers at home.Starting Weight: 154kg
