Bio
Terry Edward Briceland is a Canadian sewing specialist best known as one of the team on the reality makeover television series Divine Design, since 2007.
"Sew be it" are the words that Briceland lives by. Terry was born and raised in Mississauga, Ontario and currently resides in the heart of downtown Toronto.
With more than 15 years of experience under his sewing belt, Terry is bringing his high energy and exciting craft to add a bit of razzle dazzle to homeowners in need of a little change.
Terry has been featured on several design shows, including Rooms That Rock and Take This House and Sell It, both as a sewer and art director, but the start of his career was a little less conspicuous.
Terry wasn't born with thread and needle in hand; he is a self-taught sewer who began his career accidentally. A new apartment necessitated a new look, but he couldn't afford anything that he couldn't make or do himself.
So, he started by teaching himself how to sew slipcovers for his down-and-out dining room chairs. The rest is history.
He fell in love with the creative side of sewing and his personal projects soon snowballed into creating extravagant Halloween costumes for kids in the neighbourhood.
Eventually Terry perfected his craft and began teaching sewing classes in various schools throughout Toronto.
In Terry's spare time he enjoys riding his motorcycle, watching endless amounts of television and spending time with his daughter Bryce, who is starting to share dad's love of sewing.
Terry's vibrant, rock-and-roll attitude and love of tattoos make him a fresh addition to the Divine Design team and a friendly rival to Chico, the electrician.
