Ben Shenkman is an American actor best known for his role as Louis Ironson in the 2003 mini-series Angels In America, receiving Golden Globe and Emmy Award nominations for his role.
He also starred in the short-lived sitcom The Paul Reiser Show, in 2011.
Other television credits include an arc as Judy Greer's love interest on Love Monkey and recurring roles on Law & Order, Law & Order: Trial by Jury and Ed.
Shenkman appeared in the feature films Just Like Heaven, Must Love Dogs, Personal Velocity, Roger Dodger, Requiem For a Dream, Jesus Son, Pi and Quiz Show, among others.
Other films include Helen Hunts directorial debut, Then She Found Me; The Key Man with Brian Cox; Breakfast with Scot with Tom Cavanagh; and Brief Interviews with Hideous Men, directed by John Krasinski.
On Broadway, Shenkman received a Tony Award nomination for his performance in Proof opposite Mary-Louise Parker. He starred with Laura Linney in Sight Unseen.
A New York native, Shenkman lives in Manhattan with his wife.
