Lost: Destiny Calls is a one-hour clip show which serves as a preview to Season 5 of the drama series Lost, which brings viewers up to date in a recap of what transpired on The Island in Seasons 1 through 4.
The special aired in the USA on ABC on 21 January 2009, preceding the two-hour Season 5 premiere.
Lost: Destiny Calls aired in South Africa on DStv's M-Net Series channel on Monday 30 March 2009, at 20h00. The Season 5 premiere of Lost aired the following week at the same time.

Synopsis
Lost: Destiny Calls is a Season 5 special which explores the mysteries of the island and its inhabitants and it takes a look at questions that have been answered as well as those that still remain.
48 people survived the crash of Oceanic Flight 815. And after 108 days on a mysterious island, only six found rescue. The friends they left behind - vanished with the island.
Now, catch up with the characters of Lost, relive their fight to survive and re-discover why the Oceanic 6 survivors must now go back to the island to save their friends.
Look out for:
Richard Alpert (Nestor Carbonell) and Charles Widmore (Alan Dale) are the only non-regular cast members who have their own segment during the recap.
A new or unused shot of the Coast Guard plane landing at the military base in "There's No Place Like Home, Part 1" is shown.
Doug Hutchison (one of the narrators) is the actor who portrays Horace Goodspeed on the show. He is the second Lost actor to narrate a clip show, Michael Emerson being the first (for Lost: Past, Present & Future).
