The Story Of India is a documentary series created by the BBC that explores the 10 000-year history, diversity and legacy of India.
Hosted by historian and writer Michael Wood the show premiered in the UK in August, 2007. There are six hour-long episodes in the series.
The Story of India originally aired in South Africa on SABC2 from 20 December, 2007 to 31 January, 2008, on Thursdays at 22h00.
The series premiered on DStv's BBC Knowledge channel on Friday 16 January 2009, at 21h30.
