Vixens is a South African reality television series based on the format of American shows such as Temptation Island in which six men in a relationship each spend six days in a mansion populated by six single girls, with the objective of remaining faithful to their partners while being tempted by the "vixens".
The series coincided with the rebranding of DStv's GO channel which became Vuzu on 1 July, 2009. It was originally intended to be title "Girls of the Vuzu Mansion" but the title was changed at the last minute.
Vixens premiered on Vuzu on Wednesday 1 July 2009, at 20h00. See "Seasons" below for seasonal broadcast dates and times.
Season 3 premiered on Vuzu on Wednesday 3 November 2010, at 20h00. New episodes broadcast weekly. There are 13 episodes in the third season.
Synopsis
Six beautiful, sexy girls. Six guys in committed relationships. Six days in a lavish Jozi mansion for each of them. This is the premise of Vixens, which makes its debut on the new Vuzu channel.
All six girls will stay in the mansion for the full run of the show with each of the six guys in the couples chosen rotating in and out the house for six days each.
With the girlfriends of the Mansion guys watching their every move, it remains to be seen which of the guys can survive the Vixens and go back to their relationship or who will go back to their real lives, alone, with just memories for comfort.
Can the guys just have good clean fun with the girls of the Mansion, or will they take the fun just a little too far?
