Synopsis
The Boston Medical Examiners office brings us Dr. Jordan Cavanaugh, who is fearless, smart and sexy but with a checkered past – and a penchant for going beyond the call of duty to investigate crimes.
Jordan often solves crimes with her father, who is a former Boston police detective.
What spurs her on in her life and career is the crime that took her the longest to solve: the crime of her mother's murder.
Dr. Garret Macy is Chief Medical Examiner and it is his job to keep Dr. Cavanaugh in check.
While gathering forensic clues the examiners put their trust in a cop, Detective Woody Hoyt, to do the legwork in hunting down the perpetrators of the crimes they investigate.
With her methods a little on the unorthodox side, Jordan's relationship with Detective Hoyt is constantly being tested.
It is not just Medical Examiners and Detectives - there is also grief counselor Lily Lebowski, criminologist Nigel Townsend, and forensic entomologist "Bug".
This dynamic team takes us though the crime solving process and keeps us guessing.
