Malan en Kie is a South African mini-series set in Cape Town and the West Coast about a young woman whose life is thrown into turmoil after she witnesses a gangland murder.
It is the fourth of four South African mini-series that began airing on SABC2 on Tuesdays at 19h30, from 29 January 2008. The others are Land of Thirst, Riemvasmaak and Huis van Liefde.

Synopsis
Described as a contemporary thriller, Malan en Kie centres around Chantelle, a young woman who witnesses a murder. The drug lord responsible is arrested and ex-policeman Malan is brought in to protect Chantelle.
Soon it becomes apparent that the intrigue surrounding the murder involves the police, the underworld and even Chantelle's fiance. She soon finds herself on the run with Malan, the only person she can trust.
Or can she?
In a world where no-one can be trusted Chantelle finds herself becoming a pawn in a life-or-death game of drugs, gang warfare, shady deals and betrayals.
