Dinner Date is a South African version of the British culinary dating show format created by Hat Trick Productions which gives one person each week the chance to find true love over three meals cooked by a blind date in their own home.
The local series features contestants being given five menus, each put together by a potential blind date.
The five ladies or men behind the menus all come up with a three course meal, but the contestant will only be having dinner with three of them.
He or she will choose their dates based on the menus they most like the look of.
But when the dinners have been eaten and the dates are done, who will they want to see for seconds?
Dinner Date is produced by Phoenix Productions in association with Quizzical Pictures.
The executive producers are Harriet Gavshon, JP Potgieter and Michele Dowd.
Koketso Coco Sefanyetso is a producer and Philip Nolte is the director.
