Fundis is a South African television game show based on a concept by Stemmburg Television in which contestants win and lose money in relation to their general or specialised knowledge on certain subjects.
In each episode the game consists of the following three sections:
General Knowledge Round
This is the money builder section where contestants answer general knowledge questions on any topic in order to accumulate as much money as possible.
Specialist (Fundis) Round
Each contestant answers questions from specialised sections and tries to lose as little of the money that they accumulated in the previous round.
The Jackpot Round
The winner of the evening can select a specialised section. They then have to answer five questions on this topic within 30 seconds to walk away with the jackpot, which is made up of all monies forfeited by both contestants during the program in the "Fundis" round.
Fundis was hosted by Fezile Makhanya and Kope Makgae in the first season; and by Schalk Bezuidenhout and Sorina Erasmus in Season 2.
The series is executive produced by Johan Stemmet from Stemmburg Television. Thabo Pitso is a producer.
