Episode 1: Home after the Move (Home)
Dinner at Home after the big move. Things are finally unpacked (almost) and it's time to celebrate with friends. We meet Sarah's husband Rob and Sophie as well as a selection of friends.
Episode 2: Traffords' Early Supper Visit (Home)
Rob is away on a business trip so family friends the Traffords and their children are coming over to have an early supper (it's a school night). Sarah reminisces about the old days when she'd cook for Lucy who was pregnant and on bed rest.
Episode 3: Food Barn Franck Dangereux (Noordhoek)
No trip to Noordhoek is complete without a visit to the Food Barn. (Its chef, Franck Dangereux, provided the foreword of her book). Sarah meets up with Franck to see if she can prise his Mushroom and Truffle ravioli recipe out of him while they make pasta from scratch.
Episode 4: Grand Tasting Affair (Home)
After the Grand Tasting Affair in preparation for the publication of bitten. it was decided that this would be a regular event. Not wanting to mess with working formulae, wine expert and Rob's best friend Allister Kreft is bringing the wine, Sarah's cooking and everyone else is eating!
Episode 5: Saldanha Family Weekend Away
Sarah's family and close friends spend a relaxing weekend away at the seaside. It's an opportunity for the adults to try their hand at fishing and for the children to enjoy building sandcastles while Sarah explores new ways of serving her favourite seafoods.
Episode 6: Bo-Kaap Cooking Lesson
Sarah heads to Faldela Tolker's home in the Bo-Kaap for a Cape Malay cooking lesson.
Episode 7: Elgin Wine Farm
Sarah and Rob visit their friend Allister Kreft's small wine farm in Elgin. It is a family run affair, and farm fare and lots of good wine and stories will be the order of the day. Rob actually helped plant the very first vines with Allister back in 2002.
Episode 8: Moyo at Spier
Sarah is the co-founder of African Impact - Africa's largest gap year/Voluntourism Company - alongside her colleagues she welcomes a new intake of interns by sharing the beauty of Moyo at Spier and introducing them to African hospitality and cuisine.
Episode 9: Ishay Govender Food & the Fabulous (Milnerton)
Besides winning SA's best foodie blogger of the year in 2011, Ishay Govender's smart, sassy and her blog focuses on everything from Indian cuisine to travel to whatever Barcelona's been up to in the football.
Saran and Ishay prepare a lunch for fellow foodie bloggers Thuli Gogela from Mzansi style Cuisine and Ming-Cheau Lin from Butterfingers ZA featuring family recipes with global influences.
Episode 10: Home Alone (Home)
Sarah is at home for a quiet evening with the kitchen all to herself, time to make her favourite fish cakes, a slow cooked chicken dish, and get ahead on some baking with Rosemary Biscuits.
Episode 11: Aunty Sue Visit (Stellenbosch)
Rob's Aunt Sue and Uncle Chris are renowned for their annual potjie and paella New Year Cook Offs. The competition is fierce and the results delicious. While it's not New Year, Sarah has convinced the duo to recreate their celebrated dishes.
Episode 12: Saldanha Community Lunch
Sarah designs and cooks a menu at the Sea Harvest Foundation with local ingredients for a group of retired fishermen, using fresh fish and vegetables from the community.
Episode 13: Rob's 30th Party (Home)
In celebration of Rob's 30th Birthday, Sarah collaborates with celebrity chef Neill Anthony to design a dinner party that fuses childhood food nostalgia with gourmet influences.
