Season 2
In the first season we got to know the loveable Rafter family with mom Julie and dad Dave readying themselves for a little peace and quiet as their maturing offspring are finally set to leave the family home... or so they thought.
Barely two days after their second-born son leaves home to set up camp with the neighbour, their dreams of sweet tranquility are shattered as all the kids flock back to the nest, with baggage in tow – emotional and otherwise.
Suddenly the Rafter residence is once again a boisterous, nutty mixture of smiles and tears, as their youngest son, his snobby wife, their unstable daughter and even Julie's ageing father all shack up in the house simultaneously.
In Season 2 Julie's visit to a fortune-teller reveals a foreboding future for the Rafters. Once these premonitions begin to manifest, the usually unflappable mother of three grows increasingly concerned.
There is also intense speculation over Ben and Mel's relationship status – are they an item or not?
Either way, it is clear that Dave and Julie will have to shelve their original plans for their 25th wedding anniversary and deal with the trials and tribulations of once again being Packed to the Rafters.
