Season 2
How I Met Your Mother returns for a second season. The series centres round Ted and the flashback story he tells his children about how he met and fell in love with their mother Robin.
In the first season Ted began telling his story that started when his best friend Marshall dropped a bombshell that he was going to propose to his long-time girlfriend Lily, a kindergarten teacher.
The news made Ted realise that he had better get a move on if he hopes to find true love and he embarked on the adventure of finding his soul mate.
At the end of Season 1 Lily ended up leaving Marshall to find herself in San Fransisco and Ted and Robin found each other and hooked up.
The second season begins with Marshall depressed over his breakup with Lily.
Ted, Robin and Barney - Ted's friend with endless, outrageous opinions - come to his aide by getting him out of the apartment for different activities, but just as Marshall is starting to cheer up he gets Lily’s bank statement that shows her last charge was for a hotel in New York; Lily is back in town.
How I Met Your Mother is produced by 20th Century Fox Television. Carter Bays, Craig Thomas, Pamela Fryman, Chris Harris, Stephen Lloyd, Chuck Tatham and Kourtney Kang are Executive Producers.
