Season 2 Synopsis
Brian, the consummate bachelor yet closet romantic, returned to Los Angeles after spending six months away to do some soul-searching about his feelings for Marjorie.
His efforts to make things right with Adam and the rest of the group before Adam and Marjorie's wedding had less than desirable results. Right before walking down the aisle, Marjorie realized she didn't want to marry Adam after all.
It hasn't been easy for Brian or Adam, but they have moved on with their lives. Brian tried his hand at being a real estate agent and, when that didn't work out, he took on the job of being the manager of the apartment building where he lives.
Two attractive women have moved in downstairs from him, one of them Laura, who watches with some envy as Brian dates her glamorous roommate.
Adam's quick marriage to a stripper he met at his bachelor party has ended. He decides to concentrate less on women and more on pursuing his law partnership.
Dave and Deena continue to suffer from the fall out of their disastrous experiment with an open marriage. What was supposed to combat the doldrums of parenting, work stress and a lackluster sex life only drove the couple further apart.
They seem to have realized the error of their ways. Although they are trying to keep their reconciliation a secret from their friends, they're now working toward healing their wounds and restoring what was once a great love.
Dave is surprised to see that his new boss, Natasha Drew, turns out to be his former intern. She has re-invented herself from being overweight and non-descript into a sexy, manipulative and shrewd businesswoman.
She loves playing mind games and will stop at nothing to continue her success. Her reach will extend to all of the friends, especially Brian and Adam, as she uses her attractiveness, smarts and charm to get what she wants.
Shortly after losing her husband in a car accident, Brian's sister, Nicole, gave birth to a baby girl. The new single mom finds her lifestyle challenging at times, but gets welcome support from her brother and the rest of the friends.
Meanwhile Jimmy, a fun-loving lawyer in Adam's firm and Jimmy's feisty wife, Ivy, who owns a bar in Koreatown, still appear to be the couple who represent what a good marriage can be.
