Season 2
Escaping an abusive marriage, idealistic principal and teacher Keneilwe Mogotsi (Tsholo Matshaba) has returned to Sebokeng, the industrial township she ran away from as a young woman. Her mission is to rescue Mamello High, a disadvantaged school on the verge of being closed down.
In the last episode of Season 1, Keneilwe faced Kotsi (Lebohang Motaung) and told him that their marriage was over and he has no power over her. Kotsi reacted typically, beating her. Because of the assault on Keneilwe, Kotsi violated his parole and was immediately arrested.
Kamo (Lethabo Bereng) found a way to get Bontle (Kitty Moepang) to meet with him and discovered that she wasn't even conscious when Ferrari (Robert Mpisi), Kutsang (Mpho Noko) and Zorro (Simphiwe Ntshingila) had sex with her - and he realised that it was rape.
He confronted Ferrari, who didn't believe he did anything wrong. Kamo then confided in Patrick (Jude Tshisevhe) about what Bontle told him and Patrick told Kamo that he couldn't keep quiet about it.
The season ended with Keneilwe and Patrick making it clear that they wanted to be together. Patrick asked her to wait for him and she agreed...
In the second season the show deals with major societal issues that are prevalent in our education system, from teenage mothers to drug addiction, sexual identity and burning of learning institutions.
The lead actors all return from Season 1, joined this season by Mutodi Neshehe as Amos, Wiseman Mncube as Junior and Luzuko Nteleko as Mr Tso.
Season 2 is produced by Endemol Shine Africa, with executive producers Sam Shale and Arjen van Mierlo and supervising producer Shirley Adonisi. The title sequence and theme music was composed by Gregory Nottingham.
