Recipes for Love and Murder is a South African / Scottish co-production murder mystery television series based on Sally Andrew's novel Recipes for Love and Murder: A Tannie Maria Mystery, about a small-town recipe advice columnist who turns detective to solve a horrific crime.
This season, after a massive fire engulfs the small town of Eden, a fateful chain of events is triggered and Tannie Maria, Jessie and Khaya get dragged into a multiple murder investigation that unearths the town's darkest secrets.
Maria Doyle Kennedy returns as Tannie Maria Purvis, along with Tony Kgoroge (Detective Khaya Meyer) and Kylie Fisher (Jessie September).
Joining them for the second course are Wynand Ferreira as Jaco, Gérard Rudolf as Ricus and Hlubi Mboya as Jackie.
In the Season 2 premiere: Picking up on the last season, the McClintocks are at Maria's doorstep and are here to claim part ownership to her home.
As Hattie plans to announce her mayoral campaign, multiple fires break out in the town.
Recipes for Love & Murder is directed by Jozua Malherbe and Karen Jeynes and produced by Thierry Cassuto in a partnership between AMC Networks' Acorn TV, MultiChoice and Both Worlds Pictures, in co-operation with Global Screen.
