Season 3
Farscape is an American science fiction television series created by Rockne S. O'Bannon about a present-day astronaut who accidentally travels through a wormhole to a distant part of the universe.
It was produced by the Jim Henson Company and Hallmark Entertainment, and filmed in Australia. Drawing on Henson's traditional expertise in puppetry, two of the main characters are animatronic puppets.
The series aired in the USA on the Sci Fi Channel from 19 March 1999 to 21 March 2003. There are 88 episodes in four seasons.
The show was abruptly canceled after it had completed production of its fourth season, with a fifth season contracted, effectively ending the series on a cliffhanger. A mini-series in 2004 wrapped up some of the show's hanging plot threads.
The first season of Farscape aired in South Africa on SABC3, on Thursday nights at 19h00, from 10 January 2002 to 6 June 2002.
The channel never broadcast the remaining three seasons.
