Last week Friday we hit the 10 Over 10 wrap up party as the production came to an end. To say thank you to everyone who was part of the production, from commentators to whoever that’s involved, were invited to a wrap up do and the usual suspects were there.
Where should kids play: Sophie Ndaba
Sophie Ndaba is a party animal of note as she arrived at the Sandton Michalengelo Towers VIP Room were the event took place right after 00:00. She was flanked by a host of men whom I presume are her friends. Sophie looked a bit slimmer compared to the last time I saw her. Sophie’s colleagues Noluntu and MJ were also there. Mara what’s with partying with your kids though?
Say cheese: Koyo, Carol and friend
Initially telling me exactly where to get off was 2Sum’s Koyo as I asked to take a picture of him and he blatantly refused. Later on in the night when I wanted to take a picture of Bujy, he was like: “Oh it’s you?! Sorry, I mistook you for a photographer from the Sunday World. You look exactly just like him,” he said to which I responded: “Nah man it’s cool. I understand.” And he went on and on about how sorry he was for being “rude” and brushed my biceps forever until I became a little uncomfortable. “You can take a picture of that elephant.” He exclaimed and I told him that’s mean. He continued with his mean streak saying Bujy looks like an elephant and that he is all over the place.
Mean Koyo and his cheap BlackBerry: Koyo calls Bujy an elephant
Yazi, nna I am a journalist and people cannot say things like that and expect me not to write about them.
Glambitious: Looking like a Generations star
Carol Ralefeta of Metro FM also showed up plastered in heavy make up like she had just stepped out of the Generations set where everyone’s face looks flawless even in a scene where they are waking up in the wee hours of the morning. Carol has lots of confidence and walked like she is an A celebrity with tons of endorsements behind her belt.
High Flyers: The Fly Chix
The Fly Chix were also there looking all beautiful I could kiss them and have a foursome with them at any given time. These girls are just beautiful, friendly and hawt hawt hawt hawt. Did I mention they are hawt?
Awesome: Sade Gilberti
Sade Giliberti who is one of commentators as well was also in attendance and Sade is always on point and looking like a stunner that she is. I like her tomboyish outfits. Super stuff.
Heavenly tunes: Olwethu
At some point during the night, Olwethu took over the dj’ing role and played some cool sounds. I remember back in February Olwethu told me he used to search for himself on Twitter during season 1 of the show and said he was shocked with some of the tweets tweeps were tweeting about him. “But you grow a thick skin and learn to deal with them.” I was like dude, you had better because nawe nje you say things about others on the show. It’s a case of being given a taste of your own medicine.
Thriving for relevance: Aaron Moloisi
Aaron Moloisi was also in attendance. What’s he doing these days? Still Shift? Can someone please give Aaron a meaty role in one of their soapies or TV magazine programme? Toe!
Young and talented blood: Anga and Motlatsi
Anga Makubalo aka NaaKMusiQ was also in attendance and so did Motlatsi Mafatshe of Isidingo fame.
Now healthier: Somizi looking better these days
Somgaga was also there in full force ready to rule the night but he never got the chance to do so. Anyway, it’s not like he is relevant. In fact he and Koyo are not relevant. When last did Koyo or 2Sum release an album? What exactly is Somgaga doing these days since Madame Gigi retired? Any new album in the pipeline? *yawns*
Socialite: Thando is a socialite of note
Moving right along. Yazi in all honesty, nna I didn’t feel the event at all. There was something lacking about it. There was no glamour or glitz nyana. It’s actually best to have no expectations when one goes to these events. I felt I should have stayed at home and enjoyed my beautiful night sleep. I hope this will not be used against me when Season 3 of the show comes up.
Looking at the camera: Makisto and Thando
If you missed the news, TVSA’s Tazteeq (who was also at the do but warned me not to publish his pics) and I will be featuring in some episodes. Our episodes are coming up in June and July. Will keep you posted.
Ridiculed: Awesome Bujy
The show airs on Vuzu Channel 116 on Dstv on Wednesdays at 19:30. Do watch and tweet about the show using #10Over10 and if you feel like it, you can tag @Vuzutv and @rifproductions.
