It was like a scene out of a romantic Bollywood film. However, the truth this time was more romantic and real than fiction. The air was thick with anticipation and guests couldn’t hold their excitement. Ashish looked like an Indian prince while his bride looked like an Idian princess.

An Indian wedding is undeniably beautiful
As reported in Monday World last week, Ashish Gangerpersad got married to his sweetheart Sydal in Durban, much to so many gay people’s dismay who were hoping to date the actor.

Asked by the media whether he thinks gay people will be disappointed, Ashish said gay people should be happy for him as he goes out of his way to be true to the character and represent gay people well.

The Isidingo star-studded wedding looked like a celeb do in Melrose Arch as Ashish’s friend and Top Billing presenter Janez Vermeiren toasted to the new nuptials, prompting Calvin Christopher to brush the laps of his beautiful wife, Kgomotso Christopher, who plays Katlego Sibeko in Isidingo.

The ceremony also could have given Maurice Page who plays Calvin some ideas as he and his girlfriend looked all cozy.

Ashish said: “I looked at her and thought she was breathtaking. She’s a naturally beautiful girl but seeing her all made up and in that outfit – I thought she was a work of art,” //YOU, 8 December//.

For the reception service, Sydal changed into a ball dress while Ashish opted for a black suit and a white waistcoat with touches of silver.
YOU magazine writes that the couple couldn’t go on a honeymoon right away due to Ashish’s work commitments. However, they are definitely going to Mozambique this December before jetting off to the Seychelles or a Caribbean island next year.
