Season 1
So You Think You Can Spin is a South African reality competition television series in which contestants compete to win the title of the country's best spinner.
Spinning in South Africa is a celebrated motorsport where hustlers and dreamers of modest means become heroes. It's not just a sport - it's a culture. The sport was established some 35 years ago and is now recognized by Mototsport South Africa the country's regulatory body.
Spinners hit no more than 50km/h, with an average spinning set lasting about three minutes, ending when both back tyres burst.
Auditions were held in Cape Town, Nelspruit, Johannesburg, Durban and Pretoria. The Top 80 compete on the series.
