Season 1
Lipstick Jungle is an American television dramedy created by DeAnn Heline and Eileen Heisler and based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Candace Bushnell, about three high-powered friends who have all made "New York's 50 Most Powerful Women" list.
The series premiered in the USA on NBC on 7 February, 2008. It was cancelled on 28 March, 2009. There are 20 hour-long episodes in two seasons.
Lipstick Jungle premiered in South Africa on SABC3 on Monday 29 September 2008, at 21h00, replacing the second season of Desperate Housewives.

Synopsis
Based on the best-selling book by Candace Bushnell (Sex and the City), this drama follows three high-powered friends as they weather the ups and downs of lives lived at the top of their game.
Movie exec Wendy (Brooke Shields) does everything she can to balance career and family. Nico (Kim Raver), editor-in-chief of a hot fashion magazine, has her eye on becoming CEO. And free-spirited designer Victory (Lindsay Price) longs to make her dreams come true, and maybe find "Mr. Right" along the way.
Armed with humour and strength, these three modern New York women support one another through the triumphs and tears that are all part of making it big in the Big Apple.
Also starring are Andrew McCarthy (Joy Luck Club), Julian Sands (24), David Alan Basche (United 93), David Norona (Frasier), Paul Blackthorne (Big Shots), and Robert Buckley (Fashion House).
