Season 5
The epic fifth season of The Adventures of Merlin sees Camelot at the height of its golden age. With Queen Guinevere and the Knights of the Round Table at his side, Arthur has never felt stronger.
But even as Camelot flowers, the seeds of her destruction are being sown. As the forces of darkness gather, only Merlin stands between Arthur and a fate that has been written since the dawn of time.
Three years on from where Season 4 ended, Morgana is more powerful than ever and still hellbent on destroying Arthur and claiming the Throne of Camelot as her own.
Old friends and new enemies threaten to switch sides as we see the return of Mordred (Alex Vlahos), Princess Mithian (Janet Montgomery) and even King Uther (Anthony Head).
Colin Morgan stars as the enigmatic Merlin, as well as Bradley James (Arthur), Angel Coulby (Gwen), Katie McGrath (Morgana), Richard Wilson (Gaius) and John Hurt as the voice of the Great Dragon.
The Knights of the Round Table also return amongst special guest stars including Liam Cunningham, Lindsay Duncan, James Fox, Julian Glover and Janet Montgomery promising the fifth season of The Adventures of Merlin be the most thrilling yet.
The Adventures of Merlin is made for BBC Cymru Wales by award-winning executive producers Julian Murphy and Johnny Capps for Shine TV, with Bethan Jones as executive producer for the BBC.
