Siende Blind is a South African, Afrikaans-language television drama series which tells the story of a psychological profiler from the South African Police Service who spends the lockdown with her husband, his son and her mother-in-law.
Before long she finds herself on a pathway with twists and turns as she revisists old cases and discovers that a serial murder is much closer then she ever thought possible.
The story of Lena Schoeman, played by Liezl de Kock, unfolds against the backdrop of her husband's family and their past.
Her mother-in-law Marinette's (Hanli Rolfes) overcompensating behaviour at the house conceals a dark secret.
Lena's husband, Roelof (Pietie Beyers), is much younger than her and moves in with his paranoid son, Henry, at his parents' house during lockdown.
As the days pass, Lena gets more suspicious about her in-laws and the tension between everyone hits a peak.
At first it's all a big happy family reunion but everything isn't always as it seems... Personal relationships are put to the test and skeletons tumble out of the closet.
Siende Blind was filmed during lockdown and consists of only five actors in the cast, telling the story of the Schoemans in only four episodes.
The character of the young Henry is played by Christopher van der Westhuizen and Lena's online colleague who helps her make sense of all the murders, Ricky, is played by Keenan Arrison.
