Season 1
This sitcom is about a frazzled working mother, Rita Clemens, who humorously struggles to balance her life as she runs her household, plays in a band, works at her job, cares for her kids and expects a newborn.
Rita (Nicole Sullivan) is a wife and mother who was once the lead singer of a Bangles cover band. She traded a life in rock clubs for carpools and the PTA.
With the hope of getting a little bit of the “old Rita” back, she forms a garage band with postal carrier Patty (Tisha Campbell-Martin), unemployed neighbour Owen (guest star Ian Gomez) and her daughter’s boyfriend Kip (Raviv Ullman).
Rita Rocks also stars Richard Ruccolo as Rita’s husband, Jay, and Natalie Dreyfuss and Kelly Gould costar as Rita’s daughters, Hallie and Shannon.
Rita Rocks is produced by Media Rights Capital for Lifetime Television. Stan Zimmerman and James Berg are executive producers.
