Sons of Anarchy was created by Kurt Sutter, who also serves as executive producer along with John Linson & Art Linson. Allen Coulter and Michael Dinner directed the pilot episode.

Season 1 originally aired on M-Net from 11 November, 2008 to 3 February, 2009, on Tuesday nights. The first three episodes aired at 22h00; thereafter episodes aired at 21h30 for the remainder of the run.
